Ozeller Walker Toliver

Ozeller Toliver was born on May 22, 1909, in the Germany Community to the late Maudie and Bailey Walker. Ozeller accepted Christ at an early age, and became a member of Rising Star Baptist Church, where she served as Mother of the Church; she also served as a faithful choir member and missionary sister until her health failed. Ozeller attended Lakeville Public School, and later joined in Holy Matrimony with A.W. “Toad” Toliver on Sept. 2, 1939, to this union 7 children were born.  She also raised 3 of 4 stepsons. Ozeller was a homemaker and enjoyed raising flowers, singing and helping others. On Friday; April 5, 2013, Ozeller departed from this life at age 103, at the home of her daughter Jannie Jones in Grapeland, TX.  Preceding her in death are parents; Maudie and Bailey Walker, husband; A.W. “Toad” Toliver;  children: Lizzie M. Toliver, Arnold J. Toliver & Arthur B. Toliver, stepsons; Louis Toliver, Jessie Toliver, Napolean Toliver & Frank Toliver, siblings; Walter L. Walker, Arnold L. Walker, and Pernina J. Walker Lomax, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Survivors: daughters; Ozie Matinez of Ratcliff, TX., Jannie Jones of Grapeland, TX., sons; Fletcher Toliver (Renae) of Houston, TX. And Curtis Toliver (Julia) of Houston, TX. Daughters-in-law: Elizabeth Toliver, Arlene Toliver, and Esther Toliver all of Houston, TX., 18 grandchildren and a host of great, great-great, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
