On August 5, 1948, a baby girl was born to the late Jack and Irene (Smith) Drayton in Leon County, whom they named Betty Ann.
After the loss of her parents, Ms. Betty was reared by her Aunt, Mrs. Eva Smith. She attended school in Centerville, Palmer and Ennis, Texas.
Ms. Betty later moved to Fort Worth. In 2012 she moved to Elkhart Nursing Home in Elkhart, TX.
Ms. Betty enjoyed life to the fullest and did believe that “there is a God”. Even though her illness, she found joy in life. Ms. Betty departed this life on November 27, 2013, at Palestine Regional Hospital, Palestine, TX.
