Billy was raised in a Christian home and united with New Salem Baptist Church at an early age. He was raised in Grapeland, TX, attended Grapeland Schools, and worked several years at Wal-Mart Warehouse and the Unites States Post Office before his health began to decline.
Billy was married to Genetha McDaniel, and to this union, they were blessed with one (1) daughter, Diedre Shantel Taylor.
Billy transitioned peacefully, Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.

Taylor, Grapeland, TX, brothers Robert Taylor, Grapeland, TX, George Taylor, Crockett, TX, David (Samary) Taylor, Youngsville, LA, Charlie (Tajuanna) Taylor, Crockett, TX; sisters Renaee (James) Coleman, Grapeland, TX, Charlene (Doug) Collins, Crockett, TX, aunts Nadine Lomax, Linda Taylor, Sandra Taylor, Wanda Burney, Deleina Taylor, Wilma Page; uncles Andrew B. Walker Jr., Bennie Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Eugene Taylor, Grapeland, TX, Stanley Taylor, Curtis Taylor and one (1) granddaughter Ma’Khia Scott.
