Bobby Tom Wilmeth

Bobby Tom Wilmeth, born January 26, 1946, in Crockett, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2026, in Grapeland, Texas.

Bobby was the son of Tom Wilmeth and Eva Gene Wilmeth and was raised in the Crockett/Latexo area. He worked as a driller and was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

On June 29, 1996, Bobby married Janet. He enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout his life and was known for his love of animals, especially his dogs, Katie and Zeke.

He loved to bake cupcakes with the grands, especially Brinley, Lane, and Cayden when they came to visit in the Summer.

Bobby dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was famous for teaching Lane and Brinley to drink “coffee milk,” sharing stories, and spending time with family.

He enjoyed Diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke and rarely chose water.

Those who knew him appreciated his willingness to lend a hand, share a tool, or help whenever needed. Although he might fuss about it first, he was always there when someone needed him. We never argued unless we were building something together – but we would always arrive at the same conclusion – just different paths.  He never read directions until it didn’t come together, then he yelled for me.

Bobby will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, love of family, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and willingness to help others.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Chad and Chastity LeBlanc of Grapeland and Cody Crowson of Grapeland; his brother, Gene Wilmeth; and his sisters, Rita Salmon of Palestine and Nancy Latham of Onalaska, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
