Brenda Harrington Hill passed away on July 8, 2017, in Crockett after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 21, 1944, in Latexo and had lived most of her life in this area. The pride of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was a distributor for the Houston Chronicle for many years and then worked as a cook at Houston County Nursing Home where she enjoyed visiting with the residents.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Hill and wife Donna of Lovelady, Lisa Starling of Windham, Maine, David Hill and wife Karen of Elkhart, her grandchildren, Amy Hill of Weatherford, Daniel Starling of Windham, Maine, Blake Combs and Reece Hill of Elkhart, and Anabelle and Isabelle Jones of Lovelady. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Bella, Haylie and Brooke Hawkins of Fort Worth, her twin sister Linda Cotten of Quinlan and her daughter in law Donna Cook Hawkins of Forth Worth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Earl Hill, her parents Hubert & Hazel Harrington, Son in Law Rickey Starling, brothers Eddie and Jimmy Harrington and sisters Patricia Platt and Lula May Harrington.
At Brenda’s request, there will be no funeral service. She asks if you wish to make a contribution in her honor, to do so to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
