Clarence was born April 28, 1958 to Alton J.B. Luce and Reba Lucile Hensley Luce. He was raised in Grapeland and went to Grapeland Independent School District and worked as a truck driver for many years.
For those that knew Clarence, you know that he was a righteous man. For those that really knew Clarence, we know that wasn’t always the case. Clarence lived a very fruitful life. It had its ups and downs, much like most lives. He’s lived and loved in many places, but still managed to make his way back home. Thankfully he found the Lord these past few years and begun his life on the right path. With that came family, friends, and forgiveness. Rather than be sad, we are proud. Proud of the strength it took to overcome his mistakes and most of all, proud of his faith in the Lord. We know he’s smiling down on us from above.
Clarence leaves behind his sons, Zach Luce and wife April, Ben Wheeler, TX, Jeff Sexton and wife Ashley, Walnut Mississippi, and Ian Luce, Florida; daughter Jennifer Thomas and husband Jamie, Grapeland, TX; brother Mike Luce and wife Ronnie Luce, Grapeland, TX; and thirteen (13) grandchildren and three (3) step-grandchildren.
We would like to give a special thanks to Fresenius Dialysis Unit, Crockett, TX, Christus Mother Frances Hospital, Tyler, Texas, Lori Neubauer, Nurse Practitioner and staff of Grapeland, TX, a Piney Woods’ Provider Service, Lufkin, TX and Oak Grove Baptist Church.
