Dale Lynn Turner was born July 29, 1953 in Grapeland, Texas, the youngest of ten children to Ruben and Ora Sue Turner. Dale was raised and educated in the Grapeland community. During his course of life, he served in the army and earned college credits. He enjoyed riding horses, motorcycles, and debating with friends/family. After a long day, he mostly enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the land with his wife and children.
Dale married Cynthia Beazley and they spent 43 years of marriage together. This union was blessed with two children; Danielle Danette Turner Bowman and Anthony Dale Turner. As a family man, Dale provided for his family by working for Nucor Vulcraft for many years. Farming kept him busy after retirement. Dale was a self-taught musician; he enjoyed singing and playing the piano for anyone that listened.
As a proud member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church, Dale served as a deacon. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent and sang in the church choir when needed.
On April 11, 2021, Dale was called home to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Ora Sue Turner; brothers Bedell Turner, Ruby Turner; sisters Ora Mae Turner, Gussie Brazier. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Turner; daughter Danielle (Daward) Bowman of Waxahachie, Texas, son Anthony Turner of Houston, Texas and Shajuana Black of Tyler, Texas; beloved grandchildren Devynn, Dayden, Delaney, Davis Bowman, and Ziya Black; siblings Henry Al Turner, Denton (Po’Boy) Turner, Harry Turner, Ann Dora Turner and Edna Mae Eulingbough; and a host of nieces and nephews.
