Dalton William Yount was born July 16, 1991 to Danny Edward Yount and Molly Estelle King. He was the youngest of 4 children, who was raised and attended school in Crockett, TX.
Dalton was a great friend, son, husband and father. He loved music and video games. Above all he loved spending time with his family. Dalton met his wife, Joni, in elementary school (5th grade). He went to Crockett, ISD and Joni attended Latexo, ISD. It was always “Dalton and Joni”. “He was my best friend”, Joni. We have a beautiful son (Aaron) who is the perfect mix of the both of us.
Dalton was a hard worker until his cancer diagnosis in 2015, which limited his abilities. Through chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and treatments, Dalton gave new meaning to the phrase strength over surrender. Dalton remained the same joyful, mellow, and well-rounded person, despite what his body endured. Everyone loved Dalton. When I say he loved music - Dalton felt the music. He played the guitar by ear and loved showing off new cool tricks when he would learn them. Dalton’s joyful soul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Dalton’s love of music and life is his wife Joni Yount and son Aaron Blake Haynes Yount, Crockett, TX; parents Danny Yount and Molly King, Crockett, TX; brothers Jerimiah Mack, Tomball, TX and Steven King, Crockett, TX; sister Danielle Ennis, Ratcliff, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.
