Dan Hallmark

Dan Clayton Hallmark, born on September 12, 1964, in Grapeland, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2025. Dan dedicated his life to his family and his passion for music, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Samantha Chance and Jamie Grant, and son, Stephen Hallmark. Dan's family extends to his father, Bobby Hallmark, and his loving sisters, Denise Watson, Sylvia Rader and Helma Hallmark. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew (Kali), Jestine, Tommy Jr., Micheal (Alexis), Samuel "BJ", Taylor, Jayden, Raven, Bryar, Luken, and Harley.

Dan shared a special bond with other close family members, including Jason, Jake, J.T., and Michael Lemons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Hallmark; his brother, Samuel Hallmark; brother-in-laws Jimmie Rader and James Watson; and his grandson, Jemeni Grant .

A talented guitar player, Dan enjoyed all genres of music. He cherished the time spent with his family on Sylvia’s porch at Hallmark Lake, delighting them with long, repetitive stories that brought laughter and connection to everyone around him. Dan put many miles on "The patch" pacing back and forth between his and Sylvia’s home with his headlight or flashlight. 

Dan’s spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and love for music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
