David Ludwig (63) was born on August 20, 1957, to parents Edward Ludwig and Ruth Jorgenson Ludwig, in Houston, TX. He received formal schooling in Houston, TX and graduated from Scarborough High School.
He was a Charter Member at Advent Lutheran Church, Houston, TX and attended church regularly at Percilla Community Church and Bethlehem Church in Palestine.
David always held family close. He was extremely proud of his daughter Laura and his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking them places and doing his sand art at festivals, and art and craft shows. He liked taking his grandkids on educational trips like camping, attending Mission Tejas, and riding the rapids. David enjoyed volunteering. He was a leader in Girl Scouts and helped with the Girl Scout Spurs program with his daughter. He enjoyed working with draft horses and attended a training program at Possum Kingdon for draft horses. He also volunteered with Boy Scouts becoming an Eagle Scout, where he met his childhood friend Doit Lee; and was a fireman.
Professionally David excelled in sales, and achieved top salesman awards with Mande Kahn suppliers, where he advanced to supervisor. He also worked at Vulcraft.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ruth Ludwig and son Brian Ludwig.
David will be missed greatly by his daughter, Laura (Micheal) Sarubbi, of Grapeland, TX, his five grandkids; brother John Ludwig, of Houston, TX; sister Linda (Terry) Holmes; aunt Wanda (Tom) Chernusky; uncles Raymond (Angie) Ludwig, Kenneth (Dorothy) Ludwig, and Sonny (Carol) Ludwig; and other relatives and friends.
