Earnest Davis Jr. (69) was born October 10, 1951 to Jesse & Arlene Davis. He was raised in Grapeland and attended school at W.R. Banks. He was an avid gardener who loved planting flowers and watching them flourish. He was a master at fixing vehicles and worked as a mechanic for many many years. Anything that needed to be worked on to get running, Earnest, better known as “Oodey” was the man to call.
Oodey loved to dance. Just put some music on and you had a dance partner and there was no shame in him dancing by himself.
His last employer was Pennington & Sons. He will be greatly missed by the Grapeland Community and all who knew and loved him.
Earnest leaves behind daughters Linda Lewis, Shondra Lewis, Stephanie Davis, sons, Tyrone Davis and Eric Davis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
