
On the evening of February 12, 2022 Eddie Franklin Phillips, age 71 of Alderbranch, TX, was called home to Heaven after being involved in a car accident.
Eddie was born in Springhill, Louisiana where he met the love of his life Marilyn, wife of 50 years. As young man Eddie moved to Texas with his family to pursue a career in construction. He found their patch of paradise in Alderbranch, TX where he and his wife settled down and raised a family. Throughout life he enjoyed spending time with their five children, seventeen grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and countless friends and family. Over the years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, building hotrods, and tinkering on anything that might be broke. He had a big heart, a generous spirit, an ingenious mind, and found joy in spending time with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Lossie Phillips, his sister Theresa Phillips, and his daughter Bena Phillips. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Phillips; sister Jean Livingston, and brother Rufus Phillips; sons Heath Phillips, Slade Phillips, Layton Phillips, and daughter Selena Dancer; eleven grandsons and six granddaughters; great-grandson and great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Join family and friends to celebrate the life of Eddie Phillips. Memorial Service to be held at Days Chapel Church (4732 An Co Rd 163 Palestine, TX 75801) on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 4 p.m. with a dinner and fellowship to follow.
