Agnes Faye Price was the first child born to the proud parents of Fianous Price, Sr. and Annie Lois Wilburt on December 2, 1943. She was raised in the Community of Grapeland and attended W.R. Banks High School.
There never was a dull moment in the presence of Faye. She was always laughing and cheering people up with her jokes and sense of humor. She was a joyous person who brought laughter to all that encountered her warm spirit. She enjoyed life and knew how to have a good time.
Faye was the Queen in the kitchen and given high praise for her fried chicken and chicken salad. She greatly enjoyed cooking at family gatherings for her children, sisters, and brother, who she loved dearly.
She was a faithful member of The Church of the Living God, in Grapeland, Texas; where she was active in the choir, the usher board and the mission board. After moving to Palestine, Texas, Faye continued to attend services until her health began to fail. Failing health didn’t stop her from getting her spiritual worship. She continued Praising the Lord through church TV programs. She loved watching TV and maintained her wit by watching Family Feud and the Steve Harvey Show.
Faye transitioned peacefully on September 14, 2019, at True Care Nursing Home in Palestine, TX. She no longer has the worry of failing health and strength, because she has found her eternal joy with the Lord.
Left to cherish Faye’s laughter and memories are her three daughters; Zoe Price, Crockett, TX, Sandra Price, Palestine, TX, and Carolyn Price, Austin, TX; sisters Mattie Jean Edison, Crockett, Laura (Richard) Hayes, Allen, TX; brother Phillip (Sharon) Price, Detroit, MI; aunt Georgia Mae Bagley, great aunt Ruth Evans, Palestine, TX; eight (8) grandchildren, twelve (12) great-grandchildren, special cousins Carolyn Simmons and Joyce Allen, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
