Francis LeRoy Hoffman

Francis LeRoy Hoffman (84) was born in Melvern, Kansas on January 9, 1938 to Gilbert and Valeria Hoffman. He attended school in Waverly, Kansas until he was placed in a boys home. While in the boys home, he was nominated for “The Cleanest Boy In Kansas” and won the contest. He was always proud of that.

LeRoy held various jobs over the years but one he particularly loved was working for Billy Bob’s in Ft. Worth, TX. He remained there until his wife, Billie Pearl, passed. He then moved to Waco, TX to live with his sister and where he lived the remainder of his life until his passing February 13, 2022.

He is preceded in death by Eugene Hoffman, Willis Dean Hoffman, Mickey Ray Minter, and Billy Wayne Minter.

Left to cherish his memories are sisters Shirley Rafferty of Waco, Texas, Zella Bazil and husband Gary of Wichita, Kansas, Ella Mae Yeager of Wichita, Kansas, and Sharon Adams of Ponca City, Oklahoma. LeRoy also leaves behind one of his many nephews, Gilbert Hoffman of Weatherford, Texas, whom he cherished like a son, Benny and Candice Minter of Crockett, Texas, as well as 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and recently welcomed his first great, great grandchild earlier this year.
