Frederick Dewayne Butler was born on July 12, 1969 to Ruby Lee Butler and Tally McArthur Fletcher “Bob”, in Grapeland, TX. He was Ruby’s third child.
Frederick was raised in Grapeland and attended Grapeland ISD and later, Crockett ISD. He accepted Christ early in life and joined The House of Prayer under the leadership of Pastor James Coleman. In his early adult life, he became a member of Corinth Evangelistic Pentecostal Church in Crockett, TX. under the Pastoralship of Elder Walter Kent, Jr.
He worked at Wal-Mart Super Center (Palestine, TX.) for a while, before committing full-time to Music Ministry. Frederick wasn’t just a skillful, but a gifted and anointed minister of music, a Maestro in his own right. He was most recently employed by and served faithfully at Hampton Memorial, COGIC (Crockett, TX.), Greater Zion, MBC (Huntsville, TX.), and the Intercity Worship Place (Crockett, TX.).
Frederick passed away on July 27, 2025 at HCA-Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Ruby Lee Butler-Kent, Step-Father, Pastor Walter Kent, Sister, Delores Butler-Hickman, Grandparents, and numerous Aunts/Uncles.
Leaving precious memories to those who loved him dearly: Brother, Terris Butler (Pamela) of Pearland, TX., Sister, Cynthia Butler of Grapeland, TX., Brother, Russell Coleman of Dallas, TX., Aunt, Minister Margie Nelson of Crockett, TX., Uncle, Jimmy Butler (Regina) of Grand Prairie, TX., and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
