Hayward James Harris (61) was born March 31, 1961 in Houston County Texas. He was the sixth child born to the marriage of Enos and Lula Mae Harris. Hayward attended the Lovelady School District. Upon completion, he came to Crockett where he worked at Northcutt for a short period of time. He later moved to Houston, TX where he worked hand in hand with his father in construction. Several years later Hayward moved to Dallas, TX and obtained employment at Star Liquor Beer & Wine until his untimely passing.
God finished the final chapter of Hayward’s life on November 29, 2022 at 1:00pm. He is preceded in death by his parents Enos and Lula Mae Kelly Harris; his sister, Violet McMearn; and his brother, Enos Henry Harris.
Left to cherish his memory is his brothers Donald Harris and wife Cinzia of Italy and Sedrick Harris and wife Tonya of Crockett, TX.; sisters Rose Washington of Crockett, TX and Esaricelene Ervin and husband Tom of Crockett, TX. He also leaves behind his uncle Harold (Bernard) Kelly, and aunts Mary Lou Jackson of Cypress, TX., Janice Moten of Crockett, TX, and Diane Murray of Houston, TX. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
