Henry Eugene Wagner, was born February 18, 1957 to Henry Linear Wagner and Katie B. Larry Potts, in Grapeland, TX. He was raised in the community of Grapeland and attended W.R Banks and Grapeland High School where he played football and ran track.
Henry was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church, in Grapeland, TX and in 1997, he married Ida Smith.
Henry was a quiet hardworking man who worked at the CO-OP and as a farm rancher before his health began to fail.
On November 17, 2020, Henry transitioned peacefully surrounded by family in his home.
Henry is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jessie Potts, and Ben Wagner; grandmothers Phebie Potts and Addie Wagner, and his father, Henry Linear Wagner.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife, Ida Wagner; his mother Katie B. Larry Potts; brother Kenny; sister Hattie F. (Reynold) Godine; son Jarvis Wagner; stepsons Gerry and Jimmy Davis; stepdaughters Nina Washington and Debra Alexander; grandkids Jarvis Wagner Jr., Marquis Wagner, Jasmin Wagner, Dominesha Wagner; aunts Ida Willis, Evelyn Wagner Wright, Ginger Chappell; niece, Avery Godine, nephew, Adrien Godine; special friends Mae Ola Nathaniel, Glender Johnson, Latonya Benton and a host of other relatives, and friends.
