Jack Hale Jones 88, entered eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Palestine Regional Medical Center with the compassionate care of Solaris Hospice.

Jack graced this world on September 5, 1936, in Grapeland, Texas, to the loving embrace of Lovett Bud Jones and Jewel Harrison Jones. The youngest of twelve siblings, Jack grew up in Grapeland, Texas and excelled as the Quarterback for his high school football team W. R. Banks School, where he graduated.

At an early age Jack accepted Christ and worked, actively in Church; serving as a Superintendent and Deacon, at Rising Star Baptist Church, until his health declined.

Throughout his life, Jack held various jobs. He worked at the glass factory in Palestine, Texas, Vulcraft, Grapeland, Texas, Grapeland Nursing Home, and Elkhart Oakes Nursing Home. As a master carpenter, he built the cherished family home where he and his beloved wife, Rose, raised their five children. He did whatever was needed to support his family; depicting his unwavering commitment to their well-being.

Jack leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is reunited in eternal peace with his parents Lovett Bud Jones and Jewel Harrison Jones, wife Rosie Lena Jones, son Charles Wayne Jones, sisters Costella Coleman, Ruby Jones, Becky Jones, Vera Gardner, Inez Davis, and Rosa Lee Brooks, as well as brothers Lovi Jones, Charles Jones, Sam Jones, Joe Jones, and Fred Jones.

Jack will forever be cherished in the hearts of his son Tony Jones of Grapeland, Texas; daughters Linda Johnson, of Grapeland, Texas, Darlene Jones of Huntsville, Texas, and Diann (Gralyn) Crawford of Tucker, Texas. He is remembered lovingly by grandchildren Duran (Parishia) Cleveland, Kimberly (Michael) Hatton, Makeila (David) Johnson, Gralyn Crawford Jr., Amanda Gilbert, Jada Crawford; great-grandchildren; special nephew Jeff Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
