Mrs. Jessie Mae Harmon (90) was born in Grapeland, TX on August 20, 1925, to Mary Lee Gibson and Esau Walker. She was raised and spent all her life in the Grapeland Community, where she was a homemaker and dedicated servant of New Beginning Church of Christ under the direction of Pastor Drew E. Marrow, Grapeland, TX until her health began to fail. In 1966, Jessie married Charlie B. Harmon. Mrs. Harmon transitioned peacefully on May 13, 2016, at Winfield Nursing Home in Crockett, TX. Mrs. Harmon is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Eddie Tubbs, Ed Cleveland, Walter K. Cleveland, Edell Shepherd, sisters Ola Mae McDonald, Martha Cleveland, Mae Lee Mosley, sons John L. Owens, Willie L. Owens, Walter Owens, daughter Emma Wagner and grandson Benjamin Wesley Wagner. Left to cherish Mrs. Jessie’s life is daughter Lillie M. Thomas, Ratcliff, TX; sisters Jessie B. Mosley, Dallas, TX, Edwiner Butler, Elkhart, TX, Betty Carter, Dallas, TX; grandchildren Kim Owens, Darlene (Pierre) Dickerson, Charlene Thomas, Jarrod Thomas, Yolanda Gilbreth, Jeffery Gilbreth, Miriam Owens, Elizabeth Owens, LaWanda (Carlos) Scott, Bridgett Wagner, Timothy Wagner, 17 great -grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, best friend Wilma Page and a host of family and friends.
