Jimmie Rader went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 18, 2025. Jimmie was born on May 27, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, to Eugene and Biddie Mae Rader.
Jimmie and Sylvia Hallmark met in 1980 and married on February 14, 1981.
Jimmie was known for his generosity and a life of serving and helping those around him. He had a stern delivery, which earned him the nickname “Hornet,” but he had a soft heart of gold. He was always grateful for opportunities to be there for others. He and Sylvia fostered four children, eventually adopting their son BJ.
Jimmie was known for his strong work ethic, learned as a young boy with a paper route.. This work ethic served him well in a 52-year career in electrical supply sales, and he always enjoyed his work and meeting new people.
Jimmie enjoyed darts, horseshoes, sports, music, camping, collecting caps, and going to the health club. He was incredibly disciplined in everything he took on. He was often a man of few words but always a great listener, loyal and trustworthy. He loved his family and took excellent care of them.
Jimmie is survived by Sylvia, his wife of 44 years, his son Samuel BJ Michael, his brother Gary Rader of Houston, his sisters Betty (Dale) Jones of Fairborn, OH, and Barbara (Lucian) Orrick of Huber Heights, OH. Also, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jimmie is predeceased by his parents Eugene and Biddie Mae Rader, grandparents Clarence and Lilly Rader and Jim Bob and Ada Henry; his brothers Paul Rader, Glynn Rader, Tony Rader, and Tim Rader; and sister Linda Hall.
