Mr. Julian (Junior) Lewis was born January 25, 1928,
to the Parents of William and Ledonia (Walker) Lewis in Madison County. At an early age, he joined the Antioch Church of Christ in Midway, Texas.
Mr. Lewis was a longtime resident of Grapeland and married to the late Lucille Murray Lewis.
Mr. Lewis departed this earth on July 11, 2015, at Winfield Nursing Home in Crockett, TX.
He is preceded in death by two (2) sons: Curtis and Kenneth Lewis, three (3) brothers and one (1) sister.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons: Bishop Julian L. (Bubba) (Violet) Lewis, Jr., Dallas, TX, John H. (Berthina) Lewis, Tyler, TX, Stephen Perry Lewis, Grapeland, TX, Chubby Ray Lewis, Spring, TX, Fredrick Bernard (Mandy) Lewis, Lufkin, TX; daughters Carolyn Davis, and Regina Jones, of Crockett, TX, Judy (Roy) Scott, Houston, TX, Gloria Fay Lewis, Leona (Arthur) Johnson, and Wilma Turner, of Grapeland, TX; brother Elmer Lewis, Houston, TX, aunts Ruby Spurlock and Mary Ethel McGilura of Midway, TX; uncle P.D. Walker, California; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
