Larry Joseph Deshotel was born on April 3, 1960, in China, TX, to Finest and Charline Deshotel. He peacefully passed away on May 29, 2020, at the Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, TX. Larry was of the Catholic faith and was baptized on April 24, 1960, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China, TX.
Larry loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the many pets he had through the years, going mudding with his friends, and watching his favorite TV show Live PD. He enjoyed restoring automobiles and was an excellent body-man and mechanic.
Larry was known as "Poppi" to Alexzander Minton, who was like a grandson to Larry; a grandpa role that he dearly enjoyed and loved. More than anything, he cared about and loved his family and many friends.
Larry is survived by his sister, Juanita Vance, and brother, Leroy Deshotel; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and best friend, Pamela Ann Minton.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sisters JoAnn and NormaJean, and brothers-in-law Sammy and Eddie.
