Today, we celebrate the fruitful life and legacy of Mr. Neddie B. Leonard, who was born January 20, 1951, in Grapeland, TX, the third of seven children to the late Willie P. Leonard and Ned Leonard. He was raised in the Zion Community and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age.
Neddie B. attended W. R. Banks and graduated from Grapeland High School. After graduation, he attended Binary Training School and worked as a Bindery Journeyman for over forty (40) years, until his health began to fail.
Neddie B. joined in union with Ruby Johnson. Their union was blessed with one (1) child, whom they lovingly named Lenita Leonard.
Anyone who knows Neddie B. and had the pleasure of being in his presence would agree that he was a terrific person. He was a very kind, considerate, and giving man that was always willing to help others. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be deeply and forever loved.
Neddie B. departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
