Patrick “DJ Wizz” White Sr. was born on December 29th, 1971 to the late Norma J. White and Willie E. Williams.
Patrick attended school in Crockett, TX. By the age of seventeen Patrick had already established his talents. Not only was he the one of the best “Disc Jockeys” around East Texas but he was also into carpenter work. He was working on homes, and hand-making speaker boxes. Patrick was a great father to all of his kids. He also had one and only Black-owned “Record Shop”, where he became a club owner like his dad “Platinum City.” Patrick then went on to pursue his career as a CDL driver, then shortly learned he was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis).
While taking it easy due to his health, Patrick got back into the farming life he knew as a kid. He enjoyed tending to his land, and cows. Patrick was a great example to his children on survival, and doing what you love. He showed us to never give up! To keep trying – no matter what....and we will continue to do so.
Patrick is preceded in death by Legora and Charlie White, Norma White, Willie Williams, Kyree White, Katina Gray, Joyce Jackson, and Judy Moore.
Left to continue his legacy are his sons, Patrick J. White Jr. “Big Pat” (Marcie), Patrick J. White Jr. “Lil Pat”, BA White, Brodrick Handsborough, KaDarrius Bennett (Yoshlee), Patrick K. White, Patrick D. White, and DeAdrian Taylor; daughters, Brittney Lott (Terry), Patricia Spearman (Bo), Patrice White, Shar’Keshya L.
