Robert Wayne Ivey was born June 29, 1954, the eldest son of Bobbie Roy and Mary in Madison, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.
He departs this life to rejoin his mother Mary; grandparents Roy and Gladys Ivey and Natale and Mary Stellone; brother Richard and good friends Tommy Taylor and Joe Nelson.
Robert leaves behind the love of his life, Teresa; his father Bobbie Roy; sisters Gladys, Cathy (Tom) Carrig, and Maria (Tim) Mobley; brothers Chris, Michael (Debra) and Steve (Lucy); step-daughter Misty and sons; and several dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Prior to failing health, Robert was an avid hunter and horse-breaker, as well as yarn-spinner and occasional poet. He enjoyed playing dominoes with good friends Lee and Todd and listening to a variety of country music and old rock & roll. He was a good caretaker to his small pets, Annie Mae and Hank. They miss him already.
Those who knew “Bob” best were witness to his tender heart and generosity. Others may have only known his gruffer side, but he will not be forgotten.
