Ronald Dean Boone, 63, of Grapeland, Texas, passed away on October 25, 2026. He was born on June 30, 1963, in Palestine, Texas, to Howard and Sherry Boone.

Known to family and friends as Dean, he worked as a truck driver for over 30 years. He loved cooking barbecue and bringing family and friends together for good food, laughter, and fellowship.

Dean was a loyal friend with a genuinely good heart. Although he could be a little grumpy at times—earning him the affectionate nickname “Grumpy” from his granddaughters. Those who knew him understood that beneath his sometimes gruff exterior was a kind and caring man who loved his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Zara; daughter, Amber; granddaughters, Rayllyn and Maison; brothers, Eddy and Danny; and a host of family members and friends.
