Russell J. Lewis was born in Houston, TX on November 8, 1958, to proud parents Anatole Lewis and Lucile Jones. He was raised in Houston and attended Ross Sterling High School. He studied at St. Mary of the Plains College and Manpower Business Institute and retired as a carpenter after 19 years. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
He married Cynthia Simon in 1995, and to this union, one daughter was born, Cyreza Lewis.
On August 21, 2017, Russell transitioned to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, TX.
Those left to cherish sweet loving memories is wife Cynthia Lewis, of Crockett, TX; two (2) daughters Cyreza of Huntsville and Shamekia of Houston; two (2) sons Russell Jr., of Houston and Christopher, of S. Korea Osan Air Force Base; mother Lucile Jones, of Houston, TX; three (3) brothers Forest of New Iberia, Gerald and Paul of Houston; four (4) grandchildren, one (1) uncle, Francis of New Orleans; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
