Sandra Jean Koch passed away peacefully at the age of 85 after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, who passed away four years ago, and her eldest son, Scott Koch, who passed away this past summer.
Sandy lived a full and meaningful life and, more importantly, was a truly good and kind person. She had a gentle heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving sister, Diane Yakimovitch, and her devoted son, Randy Koch.
Sandy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, going out for coffee and cigarettes, and never turned down ice cream. She enjoyed her Avon and crystal parties and took great pride in celebrating the holidays. Christmas was especially dear to her heart—she loved hosting Christmas parties and decorating to make the season magical.
She could listen to Elvis for hours, happily singing along to his old songs.
Sandy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
