Our beloved Tabatha Denise Baldwin, affectionately known as “Tabby”, peacefully transitioned from Earth to Glory on November 30, 2017, at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southeast, surrounded by her family. She lovingly graced the world with her beautiful presence on September 23, 1973, and was born the youngest of four (4) to Georgia Bell and Howard Garrett, Jr. in Houston, TX.
Tabatha attended Jesse H. Jones High School and was an Administrative Assistant at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for several years. She later married Elijah Baldwin and Elijah fulfilled the fatherly role of helping to raise her two beautiful daughters Lexus and Precious.
Tabatha was an active member and usher at Missouri City Baptist Church until her health began to fail. Even though Tabatha suffered from both Lupus and Sickle Cell Diseases, she always found the time and energy for her family. She never complained, even on her worst days. She was always a fighter. “She fought a good fight.”
In her leisure time, Tabatha loved listening to music and loved to laugh. She was a loving person, who sought after God’s own heart, putting others before herself. She always taught others to be strong, work hard and live life. She touched the lives of many with her caring ways of generosity, beautiful heart, and a million-dollar smile. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Lexus Bill and Precious Bill, both of Houston, Texas; her mother, Georgia Garrett; sisters Regina Sherrod (Joe) and Carol Garrett (William); sisterly cousin, Anita Leonard; aunts, Bobbie Warfield (Andrew), Julia Leonard, Ruby Jones, and Debra Hall Hamilton; special cousin, Frank McDaniel; special friend, Jerome Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, and friends.
