Virginia Nell Johnson was born June 29, 1956 to Curlee and Johnny L. Johnson in Lovelady, Texas. The family moved to Grapeland, Texas, and then to Malakoff, Texas, where Virginia went to High School; and later Dallas, Texas where she worked as a hostess at the Fairmont Hotel.
Virginia is proceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, Johnnie M. Hicks and Dorothy Gean Johnson, three brothers, John Elbert Johnson, Elbert L. Johnson, and Charles Johnson; and three aunts, Bettye M. Taylor, Mayann Abbs and Lou Tavern.
Left to cherish Virginia’s memories are two sisters, Annie Johnson-Chappell of Seagoville, Texas, and Ollie Tyron of Richardson, Texas, seven brothers George L. (Peaches) Johnson and Alvin (Helena) McDaniel of Grapeland, Texas, John Lewis (Helen) Walker, and Donald Ray Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Herbert L. (Cozette) Johnson of Seagoville, Texas, Bennie D. Johnson of Brenham, Texas, and Clarence Johnson of Denton, Texas; two Uncles; five Aunts; four special nieces Dikisha Johnson-Williams, Sondra Hicks, Mary Hicks-Price, Shirley Johnson-Mason, one special cousin Shirley Beazley; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
